Secret Disciple

Monday, June 23, 2014 | Stories | By Jon Weece

William Barclay once wrote, “He may try to be a secret disciple; but it has been well said that to be a secret disciple is impossible because either the discipleship kills the secrecy, or secrecy kills the discipleship.” When people listen to you talk and watch how you treat your family and how you live your life would they know you are a follower of Jesus?

Better yet, when you put your head to the pillow tonight, will you question who you followed today? Jesus said, “...let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16 NIV)
